It was a rather clear and sunny day over the land of Stone, a few stray clouds dotted the sky but nothing that would indicate any bad weather in the foreseeable future. That brought a small smile to the face of one particular blonde shinobi named Goei Kiretsu. As with most days the youthful boy found himself wandering around the countryside, as was his privilege as ‘the most honorable person within the country of Stone’… a title given to him for sacrificing himself as the jinchuuriki of the Seven Tailed Bijuu Kaku. A melancholy look crossed his face as he reached his right hand back over his shoulder and placed his index and middle finger on his back, where the base of his meet his spine, the area his seal was placed. A heavy sigh escaped the boy at that moment as he looked down off the bluff he was currently standing on. His thoughts distracted by wishes of a simpler time, a time before he was under the pressure of his responsibilities as the country’s defender and as a symbol of power… he yearned for the days of his academy life.

He knew it seemed odd to everyone in the academy, both students and teachers, that a boy at the age of eleven would enroll in the academy when most would join closer to toddlers. The blonde boy would stand head and shoulder above his much younger classmates as he sat in earnest attempt to learn from his time in class. He would be made fun of by the younger children and teased by the elder kids from more advanced classes, but he tried very hard to ignore them all and do what he had to for his family. As it would turn out Kiretsu’s natural physic was perfect for the life of a shinobi and he quickly picked up the arts of both Taijutsu and Kenjutsu. And, unbecomingly to him, thanks to the Bijuu sealed within him Kiretsu’s natural chakra were immense enough for him to easily tackle both Ninjutsu and Genjutsu without becoming tired at all.
It was thanks to these gifts that Kiretsu was quickly moved up through the classes until, within six months, he was in the advanced group with students age twelve and thirteen. It was here that Kiretsu truly learned to that he was an oddity, never before in the country of Stone had a child advanced so quickly in training, nor had one ever been in the final class load at such a young age. He was something that the village had never truly seen before, a child prodigy. But was it his own gifts that made him this way? Or was it the beast slumbering inside him? Either way Kiretsu quickly became the favored student of many of his teachers and in the months following his advanced placement he began to feel more and more accepted.
Kiretsu would train hard nearly every day of his academy life, and as the weeks and months passed he began to get close to not just the teachers, but the other students as well. He quickly began making friends and soon he had completely forgotten about all the hardships he had endured to get the life he and his family now had. Kiretsu was happy, and he truly enjoyed his life. He soon began training with his teachers and a few select students for ‘specialized training’, which was almost essential to keep Kiretsu on level with some of the most advanced students who had been at the academy for years. It was through this training that Kiretsu created his own special Genjutsu technique that he called, Hokori Arashi (Dust Storm). It was a technique in which able to kick up a small amount of dirt off the ground into the air, simultaneously he would send the opponent into a trance state where they would see the small plum of dust suddenly become an immense windstorm that kicked up blindingly thick amounts of dirt and dust into the sky; extremely hampering the opponents ability to see. And it was actually that technique that was the final peg that proved Kiretsu was ready for his gennin exam.
As with most every academy student, for weeks prior to the exam Kiretsu studied as hard as he could, trying his best to grind every bit of knowledge as possible into his skull. He also tried to further refine his Hokori Arashi technique and brush up on his various techniques that were required for passing status. More quickly than he had hoped, however, the day of the exam came and went. Though he had not performed as well as he had hoped, Kiretsu was passed in the top quarter of his class and presented with his head band and shinobi status of a gennin.
With nothing buy joy in his heart the young boy ran back to his home and told his parent of his exam and his great skill as he passed. His parents, like all others that passed, were extremely proud of their now twelve year old son. “You’ve made us so very proud of you Kiretsu.” His mother said as she held her son in her arms.
(Present Day)
The smile had not returned to Kiretsu’s face, it had been four years since that day he had graduated. Four years of intense personal training with his former instructors and high Jounin the Daimyo had dispatched to his home. Four years of refining himself to better serve his country, four years of thinking he was the greatest thing to ever walk this earth… and three days ago he was blind sighted by the news that he was in fact the jinchuuriki of the seven tailed badger. His chakra was not his own, his skill was not his own, his talent was not his own… Kiretsu’s world had been torn asunder. But for the sake of his mother and father, to protect them from the Daimyo and anyone else that may be looking for the smallest sign of weakness in him… he did not despair, not in front of anyone. He merely thanked the Daimyo for the information, and thanked him for the abusive training they had put him through as a child… as much as it sickened him. But he would not allow anything to come down on his family because of his emotional state. Kiretsu felt a slight burning sensation coming from the back of his neck. Upon feeling it he slowed his breathing and calmed down. “I should get home…” He spoke blankly as he headed back to his village.
