Uchiha Heirloom[Nabito]

A air of calmness drifted through the uchiha temple, the wind slowly worked its way around and through to the other side of Nabit as he sat in a meditation style position on the matt on the floor. The wind slowly billowed up tossing his hair from left to right before drifting harmlessly back out the door in which it had come. A movement brought Nabito out of his trance and he slowled opened his eyes, he turned his head to face the intrusion only to find a youngling walking into the temple with very cautious strides boarding on nervous.

"Uhhhh...Nabito-san...M-my father wishes to speak with you..." the young boy squeaked out. Nabito frowned slightly at the intrusion and his eyes narrowed slightly. Though he could not make out the boys facial expression he could however see the quake which riveted the young boys frame. Nabito sighed softly and pushed himself up off the floor and grabbed hold of the blindfold which was lightly bound to his wrist and unravelled it wrapping it once more around his eyes before fastening it against the back of his skull. The ends of the blindfold swayed in the breeze as he finished leaving them to hang against his back

"Fine. Tell him I will be there shortly."Was the only reply Nabito provided the young boy, Nabito turned himself around and walked forward his ability to see outlines of objects provided him with the ability to navigate fine on his own, which was a relief to himself how he so hated to rely on others. It seemed no matter what in the end he merely set himself up for disappointment when placing his trust in another person. Nabito emerged out into the Uchiha common area and glanced around the compound it had since been rebuilt and teaming with life over the years.

The Uchiha clan had blossomed quite well over the years as time went on, which in turn was great for the over all wellbeing of the clan. It meant that all the deeds done in history past had not destroyed them, hindered possibly but not destroyed. As a founding family of Konoha he had much doubt anything short of a catastrophy would be able to bring this honorable and great clan down. It wasn't that the Uchiha's were arrogant, because let's face it many were indeed as such. But it is because they have a natural ability or instinct as it may be told for survival, and anything short of divine intervention would ever interfere with them being a continued presence in Konoha.

Nabito use to be regailed of the famous deeds done by his family and clan, stating that they were better then the Senju clan which was another founding family of the noble leaf village. He did not take much stock into this information, these were the types of stories old veterans having since been retired would regail to the younger generation over cooking fires and water wells during the late evening. If one ventured close enough to the games common they would not walk away without learning the same story told four different ways from many of the elder shinobi of the village that have since long lived passed their glory years.

Their lives now lived out must suffice with playing games of strategy and chance in the lush furnishings of the game parlors. As he walked past these said game parlors he was stopped by gnarled aged man, "Nabito, do you wish to hear more stories of the glory days fighting off the missing nin...." Nabito merely waved a hand off to the old man. "Maybe another time perhaps I am very busy today elder..." Nabito replied as a curteousy to the old man. He was not much in care for today's generation for which he had no respect, but the older generation he had much respect for. They founded their very way of life, they were here to teach the learnings of old to make sure they were never forgotten in the passing of time least something be lost forever.

The old man smiled and shook his head, "Are you sure you wish to deny an old man such a request one it might be of great value to you? Alright youngling, suit yourself if you wish not to learn more about your heritage...and abilities you are entitled too." Nabito frowned softly and stopped walking and turned around if his eyes had not be blind folded he would of glared a hole straight through the old man. Sure he looked at the elders with reverance but they did have a tendency to try his patients a lot more then he wished they would. "Alright, old man speak your claims so that I may continue on with my day." The Uchiha stated and walked back to sit down beside the old man.

A twinkle appeared in the corner of the old codgers eye and he smirked softly and began to place game tiles on the bored in front of him. "I believe a game is in order as we speak..."He states calmly as he begins placing the tiles out onto the board. Nabito sighed softly though he wished to be treated as a equal he still found it extremely annoying when people treated him as if the lack of his sight did not matter, sure he could roughly make out the shapes of the tiles he was placing on the board but that did not mean he could read the scripture on them. The old man looked at Nabito knowingly and smiled. "You take the first turn youngling.." he stated looking to the board.

Nabito sighed softly and placed his hand on a tile and moved it around on the board, "You stated of a story you wished to tell...so please tell me..."he stated curbing the impatient tone. The old man looked at the board a moment and sized up a decently enough strategy, "The Uchiha clan is a noble clan, we help found this our beloved city with the help of the Senju's. We are a proud clan, and that has always been our greatest downfall and has caused us great strife. Are you familiar with the Uchiha's Named Sasuke and Itachi?" he stated softly and grabbed hold of one of the tiles and moved it forward to counter Nabito's.

Nabito having already had a move to counter the old mans placed another tile in a different spot and looked at the old man expectantly, "Yes, i am aware of the two Uchiha who fell from grace, they were both well thought of Shinobi of this village. But in the end both turned their backs on their village to further the Uchiha name. Rather admiral in my opinion although the mean's about which they went were not necessairly intelligent...what about them?" Nabito asked. "They both had the Mangekyou Sharingan, which allowed them to become quite powerful." The old man stated.

The old man grabbed hold of a tile and slapped it down taking away one of Nabito's tiles "Ahah! youngling you have a lot to learn about strategy!" Nabito could not help but a humored smirk, Nabito grabbed hold of another tile and moved it into place setting up a defense all his own. "This Mangekyou Sharingan...how can one obtain it?" he asked. The old man sighed softly and shook his head, "The details of that have been sealed away for they are most terrible. But I know this much, first one must master the Sharingan before it can evolve into the Mangekyou." he old man stated with a knowing smirk.

Nabito looked at the old man with a curious expression, "The Sharingan? What is this you speak of.." The old man merely grinned and moved a tile on the board cleverly. "The Sharingan is the fruit of the Uchiha clan labor, and ability that amplify's our abilities and allows us great abilities. Some are able to quicken their reaction to attacks due to being able to see the flow of chakra inside someone, others copy jutsu's and also the ability to see through Genjutsu's of various power. A rather useful tool that we have available to us." The old man stated as nabito moved the tile forward.

Nabito digested this information slowly he was curious about the old man and why he was telling him this information. But that mattered little to him in the end, he wanted more information about this ability of his clan. "So where would one be able to find this information.."He stated softly. Nabito pushed the tile forward and looked at the layout of the board thoughtfully. The old man smiled secratively, "At the old Uchiha temple of course where most of our secrets are kept from the destructive hands of time." The old man stated and slapped a tile down on the table and grinned. "I win!" the old man called out.

Nabito scowled at how he had lost, but then again thought about it this way. While he was busy keeping the village safe all this old man did was sit outside this parlor and play this silly game, of course he would have the advantage. "It seems you did best me fairly. Have a good day sir. I think i will take this information you have provided to me and make use of it."Nabito stated softly pushing himself up from his sitting position and bows his head to the elder and walks away down the street. The old man looked up with a smug grin on his face watching the departing Uchiha disappear down the street. Greatness would once more grace this clan and he could not wait to see.

Nabito pushed his blindfold up on his head a ways as to be able to make out where he was going, he had not been to the old temple in many years and rarely thought of it. It was located in the abandoned part of the city due to the reverance of what Itachi had done to the clan so many many years ago. He did not like to dwell much on the dark past of his clan or of the two brothers that fell from grace because it did not bode him well to look at the past it only served to possibly cause problems in the future for him or worse repeat the same mistakes made by others. He sighed softly and took a corner leading him towards the temple.

Nabito emerged on the other side of the city and looked up at a entrance with bore a dilapitated sign baring the Uchiha symbol. He got a shiver which crawled up his spine and spread through his entire body. This place was said to be haunted by the brothers past and rarely anyone wandered into this area unless they were experienced shinobi. Nabito pushed open the gates and proceeded through the opening. He was always one to live life on the edge and had always prided himself in not being scared of superstition because it merely was a formality to him.

He slowly trekked acrossed the grounds of the old compound, he looked around at all the abandonded buildings and felt a sense of dread in the air. He sighed softly looking at the blood stains that had soaked into the ground for so long that they became permanent. He shook his head softly this place sort of creeped him out. He looked ahead seeing the temple in the distance. He smiled softly as he neared the end of the road, not like it was all that long but still he was excited to be able to learn something of power. An if what the old man stated was true then power he would indeed be granted.

Nabito approached the temple and looked around slowly seeing no others present in the general vacinity he pressed his palms against the door and pushed it open slowly the doors parted with a unoiled creek. Dust slowly unsettled off the door and fell to the ground harmlessly. He looked around cautiously before passing acrossed the threshold, he sighed softly he did not even know where to begin looking for what he head come to get. He merely knew of the information that it held. He walked further into the temple his eyes glancing around the area slowly before stopping on the walls that held many scrolls depicting information of their heritage.

He slowly read over the wall scrolls one by one in passing nothing really stood out above the others with information regarding the sharingan, nothing was more important then the others. He found this slightly disheartening and continued on his quest to the other side of the room. His efforts bore fruit when he came acrossed not what he was looking for but a story in reference to a tablet that bore information regarding the sharingan. He slowly read over the tablet making sure he understood correctly what it was telling him. His eyes drifting from left to right slowly as he took in the information.

The scroll stated, "The scribe of the tablet wrote down the most important values of the sharingan and stowed the information away in the highest point of the Uchiha clan. " Which could only mean the temple due to the point of the temple reaching high into the sky the highest point of the compound. "In the highest point the tablet lay hidden beneath the bones and ash of the fallen before..." Nabito frowned softly and looked around slowly and saw a doorway which lead to the crypts below the temple which many of the old Uchiha were entombed due to heoric efforts on their parts in service to the village or the temple itself. Nabito nodded his head and continued to read.

"The grandest Uchiha to be known holds the tablet to rest for all eternity.." and that was the end of the scroll. Nabito turned his attention around and walked towards the door that lead him down into the uchiha crypt. He frowned softly as he pushed open the door and light a candle and held it up in his reach to illuminate the area before him. The light faught back the shadows of the crypt as he slowly made his way downward. Nabito did not care that he was literally heading down into nothing but dead bodies, death was a natural part of life. Where there was life there would always be death, it was a natural course and was not to be feared but respected.

As he neared the bottom landing he placed the candle on a holder which shed a large area of light around him. He slowly looked around the cobwebs and dust were insanely thick here. He merely shook his head they really needed to find someone with nerves of steel to maintain their fallen's resting place better this was insane. He slowly walked along the columns which were arranged by deeds done in their life span. Nabito found a tomb to the far back of the temple which had a large amount of markings on the outside and around the tomb itself. It had to be what he was looking for only those of highest regard would be entitled to such.

Nabito placed his hands on the cold stone an recoiled at how cold it was, he wetted his lips with his tongue nervously before placing his hands on the tomb once more and pushed. The top slid forward with the sound of stone grinding stone and stopped just short. Nabito peered into the container and saw the mumified remains of a fallen comrade and saw nesseled in his grip against his chest a stone tablet that seems to be much older then the actually occupant. He reached into the tomb and loosened the clenched grip on the tablet and pulled the stone piece safely from the tomb he breathed a sigh of relief.

He placed the tablet on the ground at the base of the tomb and pushed the cover back over the tomb and turned around. He picked up the tablet once more and brushed the dust off of it and looked it over slowly, he smirked softly as he beheld the bountiful information that was preserved on the tablet. He needed better light to be able to read this, he walked up the flight of stairs and wandered back into the temple. As he walked the floors towards the door an ominous breeze tossed the wall scrolls around on the walls which caused Nabito to stall and look around cautiously. Finding one one around that would present harm he continued out of the temple.

Nabito's pace quickened once he was outside, he was able to breath much easier now that he was free from the dust filled under belly of the temple. As if a new fount of energy coursed through him out of no where he began to run away from the temple. His excitement betrayed him, he was happy to find this jewel of information. He quickly was approaching on the compound doors in which he had entered originally and pushed them open with a thrust of his palm the doors shot open allowing him to depart. He disappeared through the compound door and made a quick course adjustment which would take him out of the old and new uchiha compound all together and direct him towards his apartment. Soon he would be alone to learn the secrets of his family and to become the most powerful Uchiha to live.
