- Name: Hokori Arashi (Dust Storm)
Description: A genjutsu created by Kiretsu during his academy training. A simple technique that utilizes a small plum of dust or dirt in the air then uses an illusion to make the plum look like it explodes into a blinding dust storm.
Effect: Illusion impairs opponents vision for 2 turns, cannot see anything past 5 feet in front of them
Pros: Opponent cannot retaliate effectively
Cons: Must be able to make eye contact with foe before illusion is effective.
Drains: 50 chakra/25 stamina per turn

- Name: Mamorijutsu (Way of Defense)
Description: By focusing completely on his natural ‘Hard Rock Skin’ ability and by further focusing chakra into his skin Kiretsu has created a functional and effective way of protecting himself in combat. By shifting his stance slightly and allowing an attack to impact him at a particular angle he is able to block or deflect the damage he would receive.
Effect: Allows the user to roll a ‘block’ or ‘deflect’ instead of a dodge. Also, when the 150 damage protection of Hard Rock Skin is broken, Kiretsu is able to focus chakra into his skin equal to the amount of damage he wishes to endure
Pros: Allows user to endure damage rather than evade it.
Cons: Can only be learned by someone with higher defense then speed.
Cost: None to block or deflect, when replacing armor drains 1 chakra = 1point of armor back into the skin, up to 150 per turn.
Note: For all intents and purposes it’s a dodge but in RP it’s really a physical block, principle is the same though. Still gain ‘dodge’ bonus from reaction lvl. Deflected or Blocked damage does not take away from protection granted by Hard Rock Skin, only damage taken reduces Hard Rock Skin.
- Name: Katsuka (Break Away)
Description: Defensive skill granted by combining the ‘Hard Rock Skin’ and Way of Defense abilities, allows user to block and deflect incoming attacks regardless if they are Taijutsu or Ninjutsu.
Effect: Uses specific formula to calculate ‘Deflection’
Pros: Drains stamina and chakra in order to deflect/block damage away from self
Cons: Very difficult to use, only accessible by the seven tailed jinchuuriki
Drains: Depends on lvl or jutsu deflected
Deflection/Block System:
E-C ranked jutsu: Defense/3 = Deflected/Blocked Damage %
B-A ranked jutsu: Defense/5 = Deflected/Blocked Damage %
S ranked jutsu: Defense/10 = Deflected/Blocked Damage %
Drains:
E-C ranked jutsu: 10,15, and 20 stamina/20,30 and 40 chakra respectively
B-A ranked jutsu: 25 and 35 stamina/50 and 70 chakra respectively
S ranked jutsu: 40stamina/80 chakra
