Episode Four: Grunt's Work [D-Ranked]

Jiang woke up that morning in the forest and walked over to the river. He took out his tooth brush from his pouch and washed his face and teeth and rushed over to the village center. When he got there he opened the door and noticed that everyone was waiting. “Sorry Sensei.” He said quietly under his breath. Then he looked at the Hokage and bowed in respect and asked “So what is the mission?” The Hokage sighed and said “You will babysit my grandson during his training.” Jiang fell over and said “That’s it?” Jiang asked. The Hokage nodded and said “Yes, Tokumaru come in please.” He walked in a looked at his grandfather. “I have done this for you. Now go practice your shuriken jutsu.” Jiang sighed and looked at his sensei and said “I can handle this mission all by myself.” Tokuzen smiled and said “Good, The rest of Team 8 let’s go out for some training.” Jiang sighed and muttered under his breath. “Ungrateful little bastards.”

Jiang looked at Tokumaru and laughed as he practiced hitting the Target board with his wooden Kunai. Tokumaru looked at Jiang and said “What’s so funny Jerk.” Then Jiang’s face became serious as he got up and looked at Tokumaru. “You’re trying too hard to show are your skills. You’re not training to get stronger. You’re training to get people to notice you.” After he gave the kid a piece of his mind they returned and Jiang complete his mission.
