Kai's Trials

Kai walked out into the clearing and sighed deeply as he flopped to the ground under a tree to clear his head before he started his training. It had been a long time since he last trained and Dante told him he needed to get a lot stronger, really fast in order to prepare for things that would soon come to pass. After about five minutes Kai stood up and walked over to a tree as he crouched low and kicked it. The tree shook lightly and Kai began smiling. He spread his legs and double kicked the tree, then turned 360 degrees backwards and hit the tree with a backhand, only to crouch lower and begin to attack the tree with a barrage of punches. After his knuckles began to sting he did three back flips and closed his eyes and began to concentrate, trying as hard as he could to summon enough chakra to use the clone technique that Dante used earlier in order to create a clone that he could use as a sparring buddy. After a while he began to sweat and opened his eyes as he rushed the tree once again, this time jumping high into the air as he extended his leg and began spinning, kicking the tree with his feet each time he faced it. After five kicks he fell to the ground and lifted his left leg up and began attacking the tree with a barrage of sidekicks. Sweat began dripping heavily from Kai’s chin but he knew he had to keep going in order to catch up to Dante. After his leg began to get tired he dropped to the ground and performed a sweeping kick to each side of the tree and pushed himself up into the air, punching the tree upside down as he rose along the side of it. Once Kai felt his body begin to stop rising he stretched his arms out and grabbed the tree, wrapped his legs around the tree to hold himself in place, and leaned his body away from the tree and continued to attack the tree with a barrage of punches. When Kai felt his legs beginning to burn he leaned back as far as he could and head butted the tree. Thinking that it wasn’t a very good idea to do that as he began to get dizzy he threw his head away from the tree and at the same time, let go with his legs and threw himself into a back flip and landed to the ground on his feet. He then lunged high into the air doing a back flip and kicked the tree again as he landed on his feet. Crouching low he then pivoted on his left heel and did a 180 degree sweep kick to the tree and planted his hands as he continued to snap his leg, kicking the tree repeatedly as he raised his foot higher and higher until he was almost doing a handstand on the side of the tree. He then flipped 3 times away from the tree and slid back on the toes of his feet and put his right palm on the ground. Narrowing his eyes as he stared at the tree full of rage and dripping with sweat he sprinted forward, pulling his arm back and balling his hand into a fist. When he got close he punched the tree as hard as he could and it shook slightly harder this time. Kai fell to his knees exhausted and fell asleep under the tall tree that had helped him to train.

- History -
There is a vast, knee-high, grassy field blowing in the wind with a small cottage in the back. Through a window in the front of the house a woman is seen sitting in a chair, rocking a newborn baby to sleep as she sings softly to him and a man steps into the scene showing away a bright blue bird that was sitting on the windowsill chirping loudly. After a few minutes of silence someone knocks on the door and the man steps to answer it. As the door opens he sees a man dressed in all black, kneeling on the ground with his arms outstretched as he holds a scroll with his head bowed and the man takes the scroll, nodding to the kneeling man in all black who disappears in a blaze of fire. The man turns and looks at the woman holding the baby as they lock eyes, wondering what the future has in store for their happy family.

Time goes on and the baby grows up into a young boy who one day decides to walk through his family forest for an evening walk. The walk was pleasant until he ran into a boy by the name of Egaikitte Ashitora who was about to kill him until Kai showed him his clan mark. Ashitora laughed because everyone else in Kai’s clan had marks extending down their arm and around their torso while Kai’s didn’t even leave his shoulderblade.

The strange boy shook his head in disappointment then flopped to the ground and finished his snack as he nodded to Kai to show approval. “I guess I can truse you then. You are a bit young to be one of his…..” Before the boy could finish his sentence, a kunai flew by Kais’ face and stuck deep in a tree as Kai fell backward on the ground mumbling to himself. The boy looked around for a possible attack point where the kunai could have come from and began talking to Kai as he pulled out two of his own kunai. “Well, since we’re about to be in deep trouble I guess I should tell you my name. I’m Ashitora, Egaikitte Ashitora. It’s nice to meet you. “Kai realized that he wasn’t dead once he heard Ashitora talking to him and he leaned forward into an Indian-style sitting position as he looked from the kunai to Ashitora, and then back to the kunai. Ashitora smirked as he saw slight movement from a tree when the wind wasn’t even blowing at that moment and began to talk to Kai in a sense of urgency. “Well Kai, Get ready to fight.” Ashitora then crouched as he flipped his hand back; tossing the kunai to Kai and at the same time had his other hand in his pouch. Pulling his hand from the pouch, he moved his arm in an arc, throwing two shuriken into the tree as he reached back in the pouch with the same hand he used to throw Kai the kunai with and grabbed himself two kunai. Kai, who had just turned back to look at Ashitora, looked up to see two kunai fall in his lap and jumpred up as the shuriken flew into the tree, letting the kunai fall in the dirt. Looking back and forth from the tree to Ashitora, Kai began to speak nervously as if he was ranting. “Maybe we should just run or something. I’m not cut out for fighting. I can maybe take one down but that’s it.” Ashitora, who turned to see the kunai on the ground, began yelling. “You idiot! Pick up the kunai! How will you protect yourself if you don’t have anything to do it with?” Kai exhaled and shook his head, looking afraid as he bend down to pick up the kunai and began talking. “I really think we should run.” Kai had the kunai in hand as he stood back up to see Ashitora running straight at him and felt a tug on his arm as he ran by. Kai turned to follow but he barely had taken four striding steps before a person in all black appeared about 15 feet in front of them in a blaze of fire, making them slide to a halt; and Ashitora turned around to search for an escape route but it was cut off by three more shinobi behind them. Ashitora crouched low turning his back to Kai, who was facing the single shinobi who began smiling as he saw the terror in Kais’ eyes as he began talking. “Well, well, well. Egaikitte Ashitora, you’ve evaded us quite long enough. From your home, to the sea, and now we have followed you to this forest. You won’t get away this time however, you’re coming with me. And your little friend here is going to die.” Upon hearing this Kais’ eyes got big and he dropped the kunai as he fell to the ground grabbing his knees and immediately transformed into a boulder. The shinobi burst into laughter and Ashitora gritted his teeth as he began to yell angrily at Kai after he turned and saw him. “You idiot! So this is what you’re going to do? What help is that?”

Ashitora kicked Kai, who changed back in mid-flight while flying headfirst into a nearby bush and Ashitora winced in pain as his foot now ached from kicking Kai after he performed that strange technique. Kai stayed stuck in the bushes frightened for his life until Ashitora was struck down by a barrage of kunai from backup shinobi, then something happened….

Kai was now afraid for his life as he heard the fighting stop and one last body fall. Thoughts began to rain down in his mind. “Will I die? What will happen to my family? My mother always called me her little protector.” Then he heard it. Footsteps were approaching him. Slow and steady they drew nearer and nearer to his position. If it were Ashitora, Kai was almost positive that he would have spoken up by now. BOOM!!! “But I can’t even protect myself.” He could hear his heartbeat and his blood as it coursed rapidly through his veins from the anxiety. It started loud but started to fade out as Kai suddenly began to feel faint. BOOM!! “I try to act tough.” The footsteps stopped and the lead shinobi was standing over Kais’ frozen body, legs sticking out of the bushes. “Is he dead?” The lead shinobi turned to answer the question asked by one of his accomplices. Boom…”But I’m still weak.”

After Kai heard that, time itself seemed to stop and everything went blank in his mind. “No, he’s just unconscious. I’ll finish off this kid then we can head back.” The lead shinobi turned back to Kai and his eyes grew wide as he saw that he wasn’t in the bushes anymore. He sighed and turned to Ashitora, to check to see if he had gotten up to save the boy. He was still there. He heard an exclamation made by one of his accomplices and turned to see what was going on. The two surviving accomplices were turned looking at something to his right. As he turned his head he saw Kai, standing there, with a blank expression on his face and the two kunai that fell in the dirt gripped tightly in his hands. The shinobi raised an eyebrow as he looked at Kai closer. His eyes were open but it seemed as if her were asleep because he focused on nothing. It was as if he were looking through everything, and like he had no idea where he was or that he might be about to die. He just stood with his hands at his sides awaiting death. Upon closer observation the lead shinobi noticed that his eyes were deep red. This rose questions in his mind as he narrowed his eyes trying to get a close look at Kais’ attire. Then one of the accomplices turned to the leader, then back at Kai, and began running straight at him. Kai seemed to disappear from where he stood and reappeared about five feet in front of the approaching shinobi, in the air raising his leg. Kai kicked him in the chest, sending him flying back into the dense trees and threw one of the kunai in his hand as a follow-up just in case the shinobi was still alive when his feet touched the ground. The shinobi flew through one tree and put a dent in the one he stopped against and as he hit the tree a kunai hit him between his eyes and pinned him to the tree. The lead shinobi narrowed his eyes and wabed his hand for the shinobi hidden in the tree to head back for more backup. “Who would have thought that I would chase after one prize and find an even greater one.” Kai just stood still staring off into the trees like he was the only one in the forest as he ignored the lead shinobi, off in a daze. The last accomplice began running at Kai and swiped at him with the kunai in his hand when he got close but Kai ducked so fast that it seemed like he almost disappeared. The shinobi looked down and Kai lunged up, thrusting the kunai upward into his neck, crushing through his hyoid bone and exiting the back of his neck just below his skull. The shinobi gasped for his lest breath as he flew off his feet and slid back in the dirs on his back as the lead shinobi began laughing. “No less than I would expect from you.” The lead shinobi ran at Kai, who disappeared and reappeared again in front of him just standing there with the same blank expression on his blood-spattered face. The shinobi began a swipe to cut Kai with his katana but Kai raised his hand when the katana was nearing his body, took a quick step forward, and swiped at the shinobis’ hand, cutting off four of the shinobis’ fingers. Kai caught the falling katana and twirled it as he brought it back, preparing to attack. The shinobi gritted his teeth and stood still, accepting his fate. Kai plunged the katana through the lower half of the shinobis’ sternum and the shinobi began talking as blood trickled fron his mouth down to his chin. “Beautiful.” Kai then rotated his left hand to point his fingers straight up in the aor, then rotated on his heels, tearing the katana out of the left side of the shinobis’ body, as he sliced the shinobis’ heard in half and his arm off near the shoulder. Kai continued looking straight ahead as the shinobis’ eyes froze with a look of terror as he fell on his back. After standing, staring off into nothing for a few seconds Kais’ eyes closed and he fell on his face, motionless, bodily exhausted from the ordeal.

Since then Kai’s entire family and clan have been wiped out and Kai is trying to find out who is responsible……

Kai woke up to a bird chirping loudly in the tree above him. He sighed as he slowly rose to his feet and began to stretch. He knew he still needed to train so he stretched all his muscles and ligaments and set back to work. He ran to the middle of the clearing and began shadowboxing. He slid on his feet as he dropped to the ground doing a sliding 360-degree spinning kick and placed his hands on the ground, lifting his feet up into the air, pretending to kick Dante in his chin to knock him off his feet into the air. Since he was trying to catch up to Dante it only made sense that he would pretend to be in a spar with Dante. He then threw himself up into the air, turning his body right side up and began punching at the air as he began to fall back to the ground. As soon as his feet touched the ground he jumped back up into the air, doing a 360 round house then lifted his left leg up in a 90 degree angle and began to side kick as fast as he could, trying to kick as many times as he could before he hit the ground again. When his feet touched the ground again he crouched and flipped backwards, doing three back flips and on the third flip he jumped high, doing a triple back flip then crouched low as soon as he hit the ground. He then placed his left palm on the ground and stuck out his right leg and pivoted on his left palm, doing an extended sweep kick then rotated around on his back, placed his right palm on the ground behind him with his legs still being horizontal to the ground and lifted his legs slightly. He then began to kick as he brought his legs up over his head and threw himself back up to his feet. He crouched low and pivoted on his heels, turning to the same tree he had previously been training with and began rushing at it. Once close he jumped high into the air, did a 360-degree turn as he raised his right leg and kicked the tree. Smiling, as he was pleased that he could tell that he was getting stronger he began to attack the tree with a barrage of punches as he began to fall to the ground. Kai fell to the ground holding his knees and panting as he watched sweat drip from his chin onto the dirt below. He slowly stood up and turned around, looking at the surrounding area. It was a good place to train. Kai’s smile faded as he saw a nearby log laying on the ground and he looked up into the sky, zoning off into a forgotten memory.

”Kai gritted his teeth as he was pushed back farther and farther by Ashitora’s onslaught of kicks. He could do nothing but block as he kept kicking him repeatedly. Kai winced in pain as his arms began to ache from the force of the kicks setting in to his arms. After a few more minutes Ashitora did two back flips and slid on his toes, standing up seconds before he came to a stop and began talking to Kai. ”Kai, You have to learn this jutsu. This is one of the most important jutsu that you can ever learn. It will save you when you are in the most dangerous position.” Ashitora then looked at Kai and nodded as Kai Performed three hand seals and began rushing at Ashitora. He pulled his arm back and attempted to punch Ashitora in the face but Ashitora jumped into the air and kicked Kai in his face in return for what he was trying to do to him. Ashitora smiled as his kick landed and Kai vanished in a puff of smoke and a wooden log took his place. As the log flew back into the woods Kai stepped from behind a tree and Ashitora walked up to him and patted him on his back. Together they walked off into the dark unfamiliar forest.

Kai frowned with confusion and pain as he could picture that boys’ face clearly now. What happened to him? What happened to his past? What happened in his past? As Kai turned and began to walk back toward Konohagakure he mumbled to himself that he would find out to whom that face he remembered belonged to one way or another.

Upon closer observation the lead shinobi noticed that his eyes were deep red. This rose questions in his mind as he narrowed his eyes trying to get a close look at Kais’ attire. Then one of the accomplices turned to the leader, then back at Kai, and began running straight at him. Kai seemed to disappear from where he stood and reappeared about five feet in front of the approaching shinobi, in the air raising his leg. Kai kicked him in the chest, sending him flying back into the dense trees and threw one of the kunai in his hand as a follow-up just in case the shinobi was still alive when his feet touched the ground. The shinobi flew through one tree and put a dent in the one he stopped against and as he hit the tree a kunai hit him between his eyes and pinned him to the tree. The lead shinobi narrowed his eyes and wabed his hand for the shinobi hidden in the tree to head back for more backup. “Who would have thought that I would chase after one prize and find an even greater one.” Kai just stood still staring off into the trees like he was the only one in the forest as he ignored the lead shinobi, off in a daze. The last accomplice began running at Kai and swiped at him with the kunai in his hand when he got close but Kai ducked so fast that it seemed like he almost disappeared. The shinobi looked down and Kai lunged up, thrusting the kunai upward into his neck, crushing through his hyoid bone and exiting the back of his neck just below his skull. The shinobi gasped for his lest breath as he flew off his feet and slid back in the dirs on his back as the lead shinobi began laughing. “No less than I would expect from you.” The lead shinobi ran at Kai, who disappeared and reappeared again in front of him just standing there with the same blank expression on his blood-spattered face. The shinobi began a swipe to cut Kai with his katana but Kai raised his hand when the katana was nearing his body, took a quick step forward, and swiped at the shinobis’ hand, cutting off four of the shinobis’ fingers. Kai caught the falling katana and twirled it as he brought it back, preparing to attack. The shinobi gritted his teeth and stood still, accepting his fate. Kai plunged the katana through the lower half of the shinobis’ sternum and the shinobi began talking as blood trickled fron his mouth down to his chin. “Beautiful.” Kai then rotated his left hand to point his fingers straight up in the aor, then rotated on his heels, tearing the katana out of the left side of the shinobis’ body, as he sliced the shinobis’ heard in half and his arm off near the shoulder. Kai continued looking straight ahead as the shinobis’ eyes froze with a look of terror as he fell on his back. After standing, staring off into nothing for a few seconds Kais’ eyes closed and he fell on his face, motionless, bodily exhausted from the ordeal.

Since then Kai’s entire family and clan have been wiped out and Kai is trying to find out who is responsible……

Kai walked back out to his normal training grounds the same as he always did and looked down at himself. He held the tail of his cloak out and twirled around. He was pleased with his new attachments. Kai stepped to the side and took off his cloak then crouched low to the ground, pushing himself off into a rage at the tree which was now his training companion. He aimed at the marks he had already made in the tree and unleashed a barrage of punches and hooks at the tree. After five minutes of quick jabs he drew his right arm back and punched the tree as hard as he could, pushing himself back in the dirt as the limbs shook. He looked up at the tree and frowned as no leaves fell from it. He then jumped up into the air from branch to branch, finally landing at the mid section of the tree and lifted his leg up, kicking the tree furiously. After a few minutes of kicking he did a back flip, grabbed the branch with his hand, and swung himself into the tree, kicking it once more before he began falling. He yelled out as he began punching the tree as he fell to the ground. When he touched the ground he squatted low and placed his palms on the ground, swinging his legs around and kicked the tree as low as he could go, as if he was trying to separate the tree from it’s roots. He sat for a minute then swung his legs around the other side and did the same to the opposite side of the tree. He then rolled on his back and pushed himself up into the air, doing a handstand as he walked himself back from the tree. After moving back a bit he threw himself back up onto his feet and leapt high into the air, punching and kicking at the air, feeling a rush of power through his body as he grinned to himself. When his feet touched the ground again he spread his legs, planted his stance, and began punching firm at the air. He finished it all up by raising his right leg up and kicked as if he were punching the air square in it’s chest. He then put his hands up in the air and began flipping back until he was closer to the tree then leapt high into do air, doing a triple back flip as he extended his right leg, kicking one of the tree branches and knocked it from the rest of the tree. Kai landed on the ground and stood, staring at the branch for a few minutes then sighed as he bent down and grabbed the tree branch, dragging it from his training area. After he was done Kai turned and rushed the tree once more, doing a set of hand seals once more, then leaped in the air swinging his leg at the tree. As Kai’s leg made contact with the tree a puff of smoke appeared to reveal a log and Kai was on the opposite side of the tree on the ground doing a sweep kick. When Kai’s foot made contact with the tree he turned himself back up and began attacking the tree with a barrage of punches once again. Kai began to feel the results of his training and fell to the ground, sitting down and looked over at his cloak as he rested his body. Thinking how else he could train.

Kai stood up and began walking back toward the tree once again. He crouched low, leaned forward and began attacking the tree with a number of punches. He zoomed in on his target and leaned closer, attacking the tree with elbow after elbow. Then he did a back flip, turned his body to the side and began side kicking the tree. He then pivoted on his right heel, dropped to the ground and began to attack the tree with punches again. After a few minutes Kai thought he heard a noise in the forest behind him and turned around, grabbing a kunai from his waist and held it up to his face as he realized it wasn’t anyone there and drifted off into a flashback of a forgotten memory.

Kai stood, crouched with his kunai held up in front of his face prepared for the inevitable. After a few seconds of waiting he jumped back as he saw Ashitora leap from the dark in the sky, doing a back flip. Kai yelled out as he felt Ashitoras legs crash into his shoulders, sending him falling face first into the dirt. Kai mumbled that he could have put out an eye as he laid in the dirt with his kunai still held in his outstretched hand. He had only barely had time to move the blade before being struck with the blow. Ashitora laughed as he walked up to Kai and told him that he was going to be teaching him a new jutsu. Kai rolled over on his back and stood up brushing himself off as he put away his kunai back into his pouch. He told Kai that it was called Akuma Sentou, or Demon Scissors. He then frowned when Kai smirked and asked how that would help him in a fight. He simply replied with the remark that it had just worked pretty well against him. He frowned as Ashitora told him to turn around and try to do a back flip, landing a kick with both legs on either side of his head, trying to send him face down into the dirt. Kai sighed as he turned around and did a back flip. Ashitora laughed as he stepped back and Kai smashed into the ground on his stomach, coughing as he knocked the wind from himself. Kai grunted as Ashitora scolded him saying he’d have to be faster than that for it to work. Kai got back up on his feet and dropped to the ground as soon as he stood up and did a back flip again, catching Ashitora in the middle of him pointing laughing at Kai. Ashitora put his hand out to stop himself from falling and threw Kai off himself. He then congratulated Kai and then lifted his leg very fast, kicking Kai in the chest and sent him tumbling back, telling him that is called the Tai kick and he had to concentrate chakra into the leg he was going to kick with before executing a kick to do it. Kai stood up holding his chest and kicked a tree, causing it to shake violently and leaves began fluttering to the ground.

Kai stood up and pulled the kunai down from his face as he walked back to the center of the training area and did the hand seals for a bunshin no jutsu and a clone of himself appeared next to him. He took a couple of quick steps then did a back flip, kicking the clone on the top of his shoulders on each side of his head and the clone disappeared in a puff of smoke as he landed on his feet. While he sat crouched as the smoke cleared he did the same set of hand seals and concentrated chakra into his right foot as the clone appeared in front of him. He then kicked the clone in the chest and his foot went straight through the apparition as it dispersed into a cloud of smoke. Kai smiled as he remembered Ashitora. He was his closest friend who taught him so much. He felt ashamed that he could ever forget Ashitora. He then stood up and began walking back toward Konoha.

Kai walked out to his normal training grounds and stood for a few minutes before removing his cloak. When his cloak hit the ground he began running toward the tree he had been training with full speed. Once he got close he crouched low to the ground as he stopped his feet from moving and performed a sliding punch into the side of the tree. He smiled as the tree shook hard and a few leaved floated to the ground. He was getting stronger, he knew that Dante would be pleased the next time they met. He then let a yell escape his lips and swung his leg up, performing a tai kick as he knocked more leaves from the tree. Kai then placed his right palm on the ground and swung his body around toward the other side of the tree, kicking the tree on it’s opposite side, performing an axe kick. Kai then placed his left hand up in the air and did three back flips and slid back on his toes as he crouched low before breaking into a full run straight back at the tree. He then jumped into the air and outstretched his right leg, kicking the tree head-on. When he hit the tree he did a back flip off of it and took three quick steps back toward the tree and began attacking it with a barrage of punches. He then did a set of hand seals and a bunshin clone appeared behind him. Kai squatted then quickly did a back flip, landing his feet on the shoulders of the clone, causing it to disperse into a puff of smoke. When he landed back on the ground he raised his left leg and began attacking the tree again with a barrage of kicks. After a few minutes he stretched his right arm as he placed his left foot back on the ground and punched the tree as hard as he could. Kai smiled then jumped up into the air, grabbing one of the tree branches and began to attack the tree as he hung in mid air. Kai kept kicking until he slipped and fell down on the ground. He laid there for a few minutes before rolling over and standing to his feet. As he stood brushing himself off he smiled because he felt his power increasing. He then did three back flips and leapt up into the air, shadowboxing as he began throwing a barrage of kicks at the air. When his feet hit the ground again he leapt into the air, doing back flips until he felt his body stop rising then stopped when he was right side up again and began throwing a barrage of punches at the air. When his feet touched the ground again he crouched low and placed his right hand on the ground, twisted his body and held his body in the air as he performed a horizontal round house with his right leg. When his move was complete he threw himself into the air with his arms, landed on his feet and did a triple back flip, landing on his feet again, then dropped low and did a 360 degree turn as he performed a sweep kick then took a couple of quick steps forward and did a back flip, imagining that he were performing the Akuma Sentou. Kai stood, panting heavily for a few minutes before standing completely up. Kai knew that the time would come where he would have to find out more about his clan and he felt that he wasn’t getting strong enough, fast enough. He made up at that time in his mind that he would push even harder than he already was.

Kai looked up at the tree he had been training all this time with, it was beaten up pretty bad but it was still standing. Kai sighed as he did a set of hand seals and three clones popped up and walked around to each side of the tree. Kai nodded and did another set of hand seals. He then jumped up into the air and kicked the tree, where Kai was there was a puff of smoke and Kai appeared where the clan stood on the opposite side of the tree, crouched low to the ground, performing a low sweeping kick. When his foot made contact with the tree he performed another set of hand seals and punched at the tree. Again there was a puff of smoke and Kai appeared where the clone to the left of the tree stood. He turned around and did another set of hand seals before he jumped into the air and when his feet made contact with the tree there was a puff of smoke and Kai stood where the last clone stood and performed a tai kick. When Kai’s foot made contact with the tree it shook violently and leaves slowly began to flutter to the ground. Kai smiled again, but it quickly faded. He still wasn’t strong enough. He was getting irritated at the small jutsu that he knew. These wouldn’t help him much in a serious fight. He needed more. He longed for more power. He brought his foot down slowly and did two back flips, leaping high into the air and stretched his left foot out, doing a triple twist roundhouse kick. He then tucked his left leg back in and stretched out his right leg, attacking the air with a barrage of sidekicks. When he hit the ground again he put his right leg down and picked up his left leg, kicking furiously as his body moved sideways from the force of his kicks. He then put his leg down and did another set of hand seals immediately transforming into the same beaten tree that he had been training with. After a few seconds the tree dispersed in a puff of smoke and Kai was falling to the ground with a kunai gripped in his hand. He threw the kunai down at the ground and it stuck with a thud. Kai fell to the ground and sat down, thinking of others things he could do to grow in power.
