    Taming the Beast Empty
PostSubject: Taming the Beast   Taming the Beast EmptySat Jul 24, 2010 9:18 pm

It was still early, around 4a.m. when the call went out from the Daimyo’s home. Dozens of highly trained shinobi were sent out on high alert; they were in search of something… of someone. “We cannot allow those two to meet; under no circumstances can we allow him to defile our plans!” The Daimyo bellowed into the night.

Morning came and past without event in the Goei household. His mother and father were still asleep when Kiretsu awoke and gathered his essential items, his tools of the trade. Today was his training day with one of his instructors, Omoji-sensei. Omoji was perhaps one of Kiretsu’s most favorite instructors, that was the case because Omoji was a kind hearted man who knew since Kiretsu was young that he was a jinchuuriki, but he never made it a defining quality of Kiretsu. Unlike the rest of the country, who saw Kiretsu only for being a vessel, Omoji saw Kiretsu as a person… a student. And that made him extremely happy.

He quickly darted out the door, dressed in his dark leather training attire, and headed off for the rock flats at the north end of the country where the land meet the sea. It was there that Omoji trained the young boy in the basics of ninjutsu and chakra control. Due to the immense burden of the bijuu’s chakra, training the control of chakra was the most important thing in making sure Kiretsu was able to contain and protect himself from the beast within. A large smile was apparent on the youth’s face as he darted through the sparsely populated streets; mornings were always slow with the people of stone.

As Kiretsu began to close in on the training area he and his instructor had set out so long ago he began to slow his running speed. He allowed his mind to clear and began to focus on the chakras around him, looking for any trace of his teacher. Kirestu did this as part of his training; Omoji-sensei had told him that “In the world of the shinobi, one can never be too careful. Knowing where your opponents are and where they will strike from should always be your first priority. Your safety is key to your own survival.” So Kiretsu began training in the art of chakra sensing, thus allowing him to find and track his opponents by their chakra signatures. But something was off today, he could not fight his teacher’s signature anywhere. As Kiretsu fully entered the open and barren rock flats he was able to get a clear and precise feel of the area, and still… no Omoji-sensei. Kiretsu looked around; he saw nothing and no one. He only heard the sound of the seagulls and various creatures along the flats. He stood there for a moment in the odd silent to ponder on where his teacher could be, but the silence was quickly broken by an unfamiliar sound. “Arigato Goei-dono.” Came a masculine voice from behind the young man. Kiretsu turned around swiftly, his eyes falling on a large unknown man wearing a black jacket and dark pants. “Who are you?” The boy asked nervously, “I’ve been waiting quite some time to make your acquaintance young master.” The large man then placed his hands together and gave a small bow, “My name is Shio Sakaki. I was asked here by Oboro-san.” Kiretsu looked at the man confusingly, “Omoji-sensei?” The larger man nodded, “Indeed.”

The man would go on to say that Omoji had spoken with him years ago about the creation of Kaku’s jinchuuriki, and that eventually he would have to learn to control the evil within him and keep it suppressed… that was where Sakaki came in. “I was asked to come here to help you control your emotions, and through those emotions… control the demon within you.” A bead of sweet fell from Kiretsu’s brow, ‘No one outside of the village was suppose to know that I’m a jinchuuriki… the Daimyo forbid it… why would Omoji-sensei do such a thing?’ The youth thought to himself. Sakaki saw the emotions of confusion and fear whip across the youth’s face, “You fear for your teacher don’t you?” Kiretsu nodded, “Hai…” A smile crossed Sakaki’s face, “Indeed, your teacher has risked a great deal involving a foreigner in the affairs of Stone country, but worry not. He is among friends now, he is safe.” With that the youth felt a wave of relief, “What would you have me do Sakaki-sempai?” And their training together began.

    Taming the Beast Empty
PostSubject: Re: Taming the Beast   Taming the Beast EmptyMon Jul 26, 2010 1:11 pm

Faint howls and yelling could be heard through the open rock flats, the noise only being accompanied by the breaking of waves against the rocky beach. If followed to their source one would find a particular blonde haired boy, couched down in an extremely low horse stance training his balance and punching technique before a large man donned in dark attire.

This boy was Goei Kiretsu, and the man was Shio Sakaki, and they were training the boy’s physical tolerance and self control… which they had been doing for well over two hours by this point. Kiretsu stood there, his feet flat, facing forward and just over three feet apart, his knees bent at an angle as if he were sitting, and he posterior mere inches above the ground. Traditionally, horse stance was used to promote stability. It was used to help a person train their legs as well as find their center of gravity. Sakaki had explained to Kiretsu that it was important to know ones own physical limits before they truly began the dangerous task of learner, understanding, and harnassing the power of the beast within the boy.

“Good-“ Sakaki began, “Another couple hours of this and your legs should be just about ready to fall off.” Kiretsu, being rather weary from the training thus far, just gave his instructor a pained look, “Sensei, is this method really necessary? Isn’t there another way of achieving the same goal?” Sakakai looked at his new disciple, “Of course there is… in the world of Martial Arts there are thousands upon thousands of ways for a person to achieve any goal.” He stated with glee, “Even a weakling like you! HAHA!” He finished with, what Kiretsu would find, a displeasing humor. “Then Sakaki-sensei, why do we not use one of those methods? Surly there is one that is faster and more efficient.” This statement from his student earned a menacing glare from the much larger man, “Are you questioning your instructor’s methods boy?” Sakaki questioned as he released a very large wave of chakra, accompanied by a mild taste of killer intent. Several beads of sweet dripped down the boys head, “N-no Sensei…” Before that moment, Kiretsu had wondered why Omoji-sensei had sent this strange man to assist him, he didn’t even give off the feel of a shinobi. But in that moment, with the explosion of chakra, Kiretsu was for certain that Sakaki was the right man to show him the way to greater self discipline. But also in that moment Kiretsu realized, Sakaki-sensei was not really a shinobi. ‘His chakra wavelength are to erratic, there is no control to them… but that feeling (reference to the killer intent) I know sensei is indeed a powerful warrior.’ He thought to himself as he glance panned back to the large man, ‘But what is he?’

Another hour and a half would pass before Kiretsu’s legs finally gave out. The youth would fall backwards rather abruptly and lay sprawled out on the rocky ground gasping for air. His legs felt as though pure acid was pumping through them, but throught the pain he felt even more reliefe, the training was over… at least for the moment. Sakaki looked on at his student, “Just under four hours, I’m impressed, I thought you would have given up closer to two or three.” The jearing taunt earned Kiretsu a smile from the giant of a man. Kiretsu simply lay there for a moment before he heard Sakaki give the first order for training he had given since the two had begun their training that morning. “Good, now that your legs are shot you can work on your arms!” Sakaki pointed at the tired boy, “Do a handstand and inverted vertical pushups until your arms bleed!” All the emotion left Kiretsu’s face as he looked at his sensei, surly he wasn’t serious. As the seconds past and Kiretsu did not move the larger man began to get annoyed, “I said…” Sakaki stepped forward quickly, “DO INVERTED PUSHUPS!” The giant of a man slammed his right foot into the rocky ground, splintering the stone and sending large chunks flying into the air. The youth was instantly terrified and jumped into actions, finding the flattest place he could he jumped up onto his hands and began to do as his instructor has told him. “How… How long must I… do these for sensei?” Sakaki crossed his arms as he watched on, “I told you already… until your hands and arms bleed.”
