A woman’s screams could be heard echoing through the sterile white walls of a hospital. A husband’s knuckle could be heard crackling, almost splintering, as he tightened his fists in agonizing anticipation of the woman’s condition. This painful wait, this tortuous moment, was all in preparation of what the pair had hoped to be their greatest joy. But neither of them had expected such a long and agonizing process. It would be over eight hours later before the screaming would stop and a noisy, blonde beautiful baby boy was placed in his loving mother’s arms. “What have you decided to name him?” One of the attending nurses inquired, the mother and father both smiled in reply, “Goei Kiretsu.”

From an extremely young age it was apparent to both Kyoukoku, Kiretsu’s father, and Yama, his mother, that Kiretsu was an extremely gifted you man. Not so much in study habits, homework, attentiveness or anything school related… but in his seemingly natural ability in any and all physical tasks. Kiretsu was in extraordinary condition for his age and was able to run, jump, flip and fly just as easily as any trained gymnast. Being from the rather small country of stone, and being that his parents were simple traders, neither of them knew the potential that their son had. But one man did. Just after Kiretsu’s eighth birthday his family’s home was greeted by three heavily armed men, they claimed to be shinobi dispatched by the Daimyo of Stone and that they had been sent to take claim of the boy. Kiretsu’s mother and father pleaded with the men to not take their only son, but their cries had fallen on deaf ears. The men attempted to take Kiretsu by force, when Kyoukoku and Yama resisted, they were beaten and tossed aside. The young blonde boy was cracked across the back of the head and hauled away into the night.

Kiretsu had been forced through the most extreme and difficult, both emotionally and physically, training any child his age had ever been through over the course of the passing two years. He had not seen another child or familiar face during this time, only large men, soldiers, shinobi and the Daimyo of Stone. He had not been told why he was taken from his home, or what purpose this conditioning was for, all he knew is that somehow… he knew he was going to die. But he was incorrect, as hard as the training was, and as bad as conditions were, Kiretsu only became stronger. Until one day he was released from his shackles and taken far far away from the place he had been held. He was escorted by well over one hundred soldiers and twenty shinobi, his destination unknown. The trip itself was slow going and took two days on foot. But when the garrison came to a halt Kiretsu was greeted by the most terrifying sights and sounds a youth can experience. There, just over the border of Whirlpool and Stone was a beast unlike any he had ever seen before, a colossal blue bagger-like creature of exaggerated proportions that stood nearly a story two stories tall and had seven large tales protruding from its back. The beast was wounded, it appeared tired and exhausted. As Kiretsu’s eyes panned the beaten and abused land he saw many… many corpses… who knew how long this battle had been going on, but it had been fierce. Without explanation the boy was taken by the shinobi and rushed to the front lines, he was carried under the right arm of one man; five shinobi covered his from, five to his left, another five at his right, and the rest behind. They ran in this cell formation to insure the security of their payload. The man that carried Kiretsu mumbled a series of words and he performed an odd series of motions with his hands before placing two fingers on Kiretsu’s forehead, rendering the lad unconscious.

Weeks would pass before the boy would awaken, but when he did he was granted free passage from his bindings. His parents would be moved to the largest city in Stone Country, Kiretsu would be allowed to live with them again, and they would be allowed to live their free of charge. The only condition was that Goei Kiretsu would have to enroll into the shinobi academy. The family agreed and was happy to be together once more.

(Present day)
As time passed, and as Kiretsu aged, the family became more and more illustrious. Their social rank within Stone Country was elevated to that of nobility. People began to refer to the Goei as Goei-dono or Goei-san in nearly every instance, even to the presence of true nobility and the Daimyo himself. This was never explained to the Goei family, at least not until Kiretsu had turned sixteen and had long since graduated from the academy. The Daimyo himself had ordered that the Goei family be treated as the highest echelon of nobility for their generous and extremely selfless sacrifice they have given for the people of Stone Country… allowing their son to host the Seven Tailed Bijuu, Kaku.
